ABOUT MY ART

I naturally translate my imagination, dexterity, and emotional sensitivity, into poetic written or painted or built visual images.

My natural talent, products simple but at the same time, very really complex artworks.

Since my childhood, I first experienced the graphic design, then the poetry (at the age of 12), then the sculpture, then the oil painting and finally the acrylic painting.

During the years I became very clever in rendering of color gradients, using acrylic as the same of oil.

In my paintings, the poetic both dramatic contrast between light and shadow involves the viewer, who is captivated by the high-definition of some details in comparison with others less detailed parts.

The blend skillfully harmonized proportions, such as the composition and geometry of the subjects depicted, create a powerful emotional effect that makes the observer ‘enter into the painting' to complete it with his imagination, often overly fascinated by the amazing locations and architectures in background.

My style is characterized by the fusion of reality and imagination, by the emphasis of light, by the dark backgrounds, and by swirls of fluid harmonious vegetation floating in the air, in my first paintings (that I called “Living Nature”).

Human and animal subjects engage the viewer with their expressive gaze, with the sensitivity of specific details such as expressions of love, or with the evocation of the imagination of what is not visible, like in a dream.

The viewer enters into that dream on tiptoe, curious, to observe the scene in silence.

There is no need to explain my art to prove its value. Really its artistic value is an intrinsic value, evident to all honest people, to children as well as adults, to the art experts as well as common people.

I believe that the objective beauty exists in nature. For instance a simple rose, is appreciated by all people. A child is fascinated by the look of the rose, while a student of botany is fascinated by which is not understandable just observing the rose.

Similarly, in producing art, I naturally pursue the requirements that I think characterize the artwork still existing in nature. According to me, these requirements are: Harmony, Poetry, Logic, Intelligence, and Love.

For this reason, my artworks, seemingly simple, are suitable to be read at various levels, as can be read at various levels every work of natural art. So, my artistic productions, totally timeless, could remain eternal, because they arouse in the observers, the same intense emotions over time, despite the artistic trends of the moment.

QUANDO DIPINGO

"Quando dipingo succede che il tempo vola... velocissimo.

Succede che non sento la fame e la sete... per niente.

Quando dipingo apro la porta sul mio mondo fantastico

fatto di curve lunghe e sinuose...

colori morbidi e dove occorre più intensi,

come quando uno sottolinea le parole importanti

di una lettura.

Succede che dopo uno schizzo su un pezzetto di carta,

le figure sulla tela nascono da sole...

le vedo già nella tela prima che si formino,

e così le inseguo con i pennelli...

finché mi dico: ' Ecco, così va meglio... ci siamo quasi'.

Succede che è una danza

per rincorrere l'Armonia di tutte le visioni

che immagino dentro a questa mia dannata testa.

Amo dipingere... e non posso farne a meno."
